The crucifixion of Christ was upon a mountain which partly supported the city of Jerusalem. It’s name means “place of the skull.” It appeared to be a colossal skull and is represented in the illustration by the rock on which the cross of agatized wood is raised in perpetual witness that Christ also is. He is now praised and glorified in the world in which He was born.

This picture is almost entirely made of sagenite agate, and was the first picture Howard made.
