Titanium is a silver colored, light, metal that is very strong for its weight. It is highly corrosion resistant to most weak acids and water. Titanium is quite common in the earth but is almost always found in one of its two ores, ilmenite and rutile. Native titanium is extremely rare, and the picture above is actually of refined titanium. The coloration on the left end is from anodization, a process where you can change the coloration of a metal by applying electricity of specific voltages. Titanium can be anodized into a wide range of bright colors.

Other: Native titanium can be found in some parts of China, but is rare in the extreme.
